Anyone who has ever seen Avera behind the DJ booth quickly notices a few things: her bright smile, her love for dancing, and the magnetic energy that gets people on their feet and keeps them there. A classically trained musician born and raised in New Jersey, she started playing piano at 7 years old and her path into music hasn’t stopped since. She now DJ’s bars, clubs, weddings, and upscale private events all over NJ and NY.

Her Puerto Rican heritage inspires a lot of her sets and Avera loves bringing into the mix all the different dynamic sounds of Latin music. When Avera is not behind the booth, she spends her time learning new songs on the piano, hosting virtual events, practicing her electric ukulele, or taking classes in hip-hop, ballet, jazz, and contemporary. Dance is her second passion, and Avera will always be moving right along with the crowd.
